The 27-year-old pop-R&B star Coco Jones and 28-year-old Cleveland Cavaliers star basketball player Donovan Mitchell have been engaged, after the long-speculated relationship of more than two years.
The lovebirds made the happy announcement on Instagram on July 11, pressing their body parts into close-ups as well as video posts. In the video, one can see Mitchell directing Jones beside a swimming pool in a tropical resort and then kneeling on one knee. Jones made an emotional reply of yes, and hugged him amid waving palm trees in the background
People released a joint statement that attributed the proposal to the success of a great season, a sold out tour and a vacation which the two also used to recharge before getting engaged there: The two have been in a relationship of two years and they are moving forward to enjoy a life together”
But as the two kept their very relationship a secret, the duo started affirming their relationship earlier this year. On Club Shay Shay, Jones said in February that she was happy, but would like to keep their personal life to themselves: (Some things) I keep to myself because this is my life, too.
